The ingredients needed to make Crispy Onion Rings:
  1. Make ready 2 large onions, sliced into rings
  2. Make ready 1 1/2 cup flour
  3. Make ready 1 cup milk, depending on how thick you would like your onion rings
  4. Take 1 tsp baking soda
  5. Take 1 cup bread crumbs
  6. Take 1 tsp salt
  7. Take 1 Salt and Pepper to taste
  8. Get 1 Vegetable oil for frying

Steps to make Crispy Onion Rings:
  1. Preheat oil for frying .
  2. Put flour, baking soda, and salt in a shallow bowl. Dip onions into the flour mixture to coat. Put onions aside.
  3. In the same dish that the onions were coated in, add the milk until blended.
  4. Put bread crumbs into another shallow dish. Dip the onions into the batter then into the bread crumbs. Do so with all of the onion.
  5. Fry a few at a time. DO NOT crowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and season with salt and pepper.

Place onion rings in a container. Add dry ingredients and continue to mix until smooth. Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture until they are all coated; set aside. Whisk the egg and milk into the flour mixture using a fork. Dip the floured rings into the batter to coat, then place on a wire rack to drain until the batter stops dripping.
