The ingredients needed to make Black Bean and Burger Casserole:
  1. Get Bottom layer
  2. Prepare 30 ounces black beans
  3. Prepare 2 teaspoons chives
  4. Get To taste pink Himalayan salt
  5. Get 1 teaspoon granulated onion powder
  6. Take 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  7. Prepare Middle layer
  8. Get 2 pound ground beef
  9. Make ready 1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
  10. Prepare 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  11. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  12. Get Top layer
  13. Make ready 15 ounces diced tomatoes
  14. Prepare 1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese divided

Half way through the browning process add tomatoes and beans. Over medium heat finish browning the meat. Stir in taco seasoning, black beans, green chiles, salt, pepper, tomato paste and picante sauce. Black beans shine in a deep-red mixture of fried garlic, caramelized tomato paste, smoked paprika and cumin.

Instructions to make Black Bean and Burger Casserole:
  1. Add the beans to a 9x11 pan. Add a bit of salt, 1 teaspoon garlic and onion powder. Sprinkle the chives over the beans. Cover with half the cheese.
  2. Flatten the ground beef and lay it over the beans till they are covered. Season the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add the diced tomatoes. Top with the remaining cheese.
  3. I am going to tell you according to what lean/fat mixture you get is going to determine how much fat and shrinkage you will have. Mine was supposed to be 80/20 but the fat on top and the amount of shrinkage I imagine it was more like 73/27 at best. Drain the fat off. Serve I hope you enjoy!!!
