  1. Prepare 3 boneless skinless chix breasts
  2. Get 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  3. Take 1/4 c. water
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp dried basil
  5. Take 1 tsp minced garlic
  6. Make ready 1/4 tsp pepper
  7. Make ready 1/4 tsp salt
  8. Prepare 12 oz uncooked pasta
  9. Make ready 2 c. shredded mozzarella
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp olive oil
  11. Prepare 1/2 c. Italian breadcrumbs
  12. Prepare 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Drain the penne in a colander and put in a mixing bowl. Add the chicken pieces, pasta sauce, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and Fontina and stir well to combine. Steps to make Chicken Parmesan Cassarole:
  1. Place water, chix, garlic, crushed tomatoes & all the seasonings into your slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 4 hrs or low for 8 hrs.
  3. When done, with a fork shred chix in slow cooker.
  4. Add pasta & mix well so pasta is overed in liquid.
  5. Cover & cook for another 20 mins.
  6. Then add mozzarella cheese on top & close to let cheese melt for another 10 mins.
  7. While cheese is melting, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add breadcrumbs to oil. Mix well for a few mins til crispy. Serve ontop of chix parm cassarole & top with parm cheese. Enjoy!!😊
