The ingredients needed to make Pancake:
  1. Take 1 cup All purpose flour
  2. Take 2 tbsp Sugar
  3. Prepare 1 Egg (lightly beaten)
  4. Take 3/4 cup Milk
  5. Make ready 1/4 cup Buttermilk (optional)
  6. Take 3 tbsp Butter (melted)
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp Salt
  8. Get Butter/ Vegetable oil for brushing pan
  9. Make ready 1 cup Grapes (optional)
  10. Get 1 scoop Vanilla Ice-cream (optional)
  11. Make ready Chocolate Syrup (optional)

Heat a heavy griddle or fry pan which is greased with a little butter on a paper towel. The pan is hot enough when a drop of water breaks into several smaller balls which 'dance' around the pan. For berry pancakes, add a cup of blueberries or strawberries to the batter. For banana pancakes, add a mashed ripe banana.

Steps to make Pancake:
  1. Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt) in a large bowl.
  2. Beat the eggs into milk and buttermilk and then stir in melted butter. Gently stir this mixture into dry ingredients, whisk the mixture until the batter is smooth and lump free. Note : If the batter seems thick then add some more milk.
  3. Heat the pan over medium heat, brush the surface with butter/ vegetable oil and pour 1/4 cupfuls for each pancake.
  4. Cook for 2 to 3 mins or until bubbles form on the surface, flip the pancake with wide spatula and cook until lightly golden on the other side.
  5. Repeat with remaining batter, brushing with more oil if necessary.
  6. Garnish with scoop of vanilla ice cream, red grapes and chocolate syrup or you can use the garnish of your choice.
  7. Serve hot.

For berry pancakes, add a cup of blueberries or strawberries to the batter. For banana pancakes, add a mashed ripe banana. The first pancake is always a bit of a test so adjust the batter by adding more flour if you need to make it thicker or more milk if you want a thinner pancake. In either case, just add a few spoonfuls at a time until you get it right. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining batter.
