The ingredients needed to make Crockpot Beef Ragu:
  1. Prepare 1 large pack ground beef
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup red wine
  3. Prepare 1 onion, chopped
  4. Prepare 1 green pepper, chopped
  5. Make ready 10 garlic cloves, minced
  6. Take 1 can (28 ounce) crushed tomatoes
  7. Take 1 can (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes
  8. Get 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  9. Make ready 1 tablespoon oregano
  10. Make ready 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  11. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon basil leaves
  12. Get 1/2 cup heavy cream
  13. Get 1 box (16 ounce) pasta
  14. Prepare Salt for boiling water
  15. Prepare Parmesan cheese for topping

Pour the tomatoes and broth over the beef and add the garlic, carrots, bay leaves and thyme. Discard the herbs and shred the beef in the pot using two forks. Instructions to make Crockpot Beef Ragu:
  1. Sauté ground beef in a large pot until browned, drain any fat……
  2. Add your 1/2 cup red wine and simmer beef until wine has reduced, about 5 - 10 minutes……
  3. Remove ground beef from pot and place in your crockpot…….
  4. Add to ground beef : onion, green pepper, garlic, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, black pepper, oregano, Italian seasoning and basil leaves, stir well…..
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, stirring occasionally….
  6. Meanwhile boil pasta, and don’t forget to add salt to the boiling water !!!
  7. When pasta is done place into serving bowls……
  8. Stir beef Ragu one more time, then add the heavy cream and mix all well……
  9. Serve a heaping portion of beef on top of cooked pasta, then add Parmesan cheese on top……
  10. Serve and enjoy 😉!
