The ingredients needed to make Hummus with Olives:
  1. Take 1 cup chickpea/gram flour
  2. Prepare 2-1/2 cup water
  3. Get 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  4. Take 12 small black ripe olives
  5. Prepare 1/4 cup extra Virgin olive oil
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup tahini Paste see my recipe
  7. Make ready 1/4 cup lemon juice
  8. Make ready 1/3 cup chopped black ripe olives for topping
  9. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  10. Get 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic powder

Add the parsley, cumin and lemon juice. Keep food processor running and slowly drizzle olive oil into hummus until smooth and desired consistency is reached. Hummus can be made with black olives or green olives. You can even make a kalamata olive hummus with dark purple Greek olives.

Instructions to make Hummus with Olives:
  1. Bring the water to boil add the chickpea flour and whisk. When it is incorporated turn the heat to low and stir constantly till thickened.
  2. Add to the oil, Lemon juice, and tahini Paste. Add the garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Add to the blender and blend till it's thickened and creamy. Then add the dozen olives and blend well.
  4. Pour the hummus into a dish. Chop the olives and add on top. Chill 30 minutes covered in the refrigerator.
  5. Serve I hope you enjoy. I served with my homemade crackers.
