The ingredients needed to make Pear Chicken & Rice:
  1. Make ready 2 (4 oz) each) Chicken Breasts, boneless & skinless
  2. Make ready 1 Pear, peeled, cored & diced
  3. Take 3 Tbs. Onion, diced
  4. Prepare 1/4 tsp. Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  5. Make ready Garlic Powder
  6. Get Onion Powder
  7. Make ready Salt
  8. Get Pepper
  9. Take 1/2 C. Rice, uncooked (brown or white)

This is a one-pan stovetop recipe with sweet pears and tangy balsamic vinegar. Adding the pears brings this Balsamic Chicken to even new heights. Chef's Notes: For extra tender chicken, dry, season and store the chicken overnight in the refrigerator, loosely covered with wax or parchment paper. Steps to make Pear Chicken & Rice:
  1. Cut any visible fat from the chicken. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to your taste. Grill or pan fry chicken until cooked through.
  2. While chicken is cooking, boil water for rice and cook the rice.
  3. In a small frying pan, with a spray of olive oil, add the pear, onion and rosemary. Sauté on med-low, until the onion is soft and the pears are slightly caramelized.
  4. Serve the grilled chicken stop the rice and add the pear atop the chicken. Enjoy!
