The ingredients needed to make Oven Roasted Garlic and Tomato Pasta:
  1. Take 1/3 cup olive oil, extra virgin
  2. Take 4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  3. Get 12 clove Fresh garlic, smashed (yes 12, pungent garlic taste goes away once roasted)
  4. Get 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  5. Take 1/2 tsp dried basil
  6. Prepare 1/3 tsp chili flakes
  7. Take 1 lb pasta (any kind)
  8. Make ready 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  9. Make ready parmesan cheese

Mix together, then add them to a baking sheet sprayed with no-stick cooking spray. Put the tomatoes cut side up in a roasting tray and pour over the oil. Put the garlic cloves between the tomatoes and any tomato stems, if you have them, as they will flavour the oil. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil.

Instructions to make Oven Roasted Garlic and Tomato Pasta:
  1. In an oven safe dish, mix together the first 6 ingredients and roast in a 400ยฐF oven for 30 min.
  2. Meanwhile in a pot, cook pasta as directed. Strain pasta and set aside once cooked.
  3. When you pull out your "tomato sauce" smash the garlic a little more with the back of a fork. (It should be soft and the tomatoes should look a little shriveled)
