The ingredients needed to make Creamy Basil Pasta:
  1. Prepare 3/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  2. Get 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  3. Prepare to taste Salt and pepper
  4. Prepare 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  5. Get 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (for additional flavor–optional)
  6. Take 12 ounces pasta (I used Fusili)
  7. Make ready 2 whole tomatoes, diced
  8. Take 4 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese

Cook until the garlic is golden-brown. By this time, the pasta should be cooked. Slowly add milk to paste until you achieve an even consistency. Add salt, basil, parmesan or pecorino and pepper to sauce and cook over low heat until you reach a desired thickness.

  1. In a blender or food processor, add all the basil leaves, olive oil, garlic, and the Philadelphia cream cheese. Turn the machine on, blend until combined; adding additional oil if needed. Set aside.
