The ingredients needed to make Asian Style Beef With Rice and Broccoli:
  1. Make ready 1 Pound Flank Steak
  2. Make ready 10 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  3. Get 4 Tablespoons White Sugar
  4. Take 1/2 Cup Chopped Green Onion
  5. Make ready 4 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
  6. Get 4 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  7. Make ready 4 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  8. Make ready 1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  9. Prepare 1 Teaspoon Salt
  10. Get 3-4 Cups Rice
  11. Make ready 2-3 Cups Broccoli

Heat the oil over high heat in a wok or large heavy skillet. In a bowl, combine the beef with the soy sauce, cornstarch and black pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the Stir-Fry Sauce. Keep the pot of water the broccoli was blanched in on a low boil.

Steps to make Asian Style Beef With Rice and Broccoli:
  1. Cut the raw flank steak into small strips
  2. Combine 5 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp white sugar, 1/4 cup chopped green onion, 2 tbsp minced garlic, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper, and 1/2 tbsp Salt in a large bag to create the marinade.
  3. Add the strips of raw steak to the bag, refrigerate, and let marinate for at least three hours but preferably over night.
  4. Set your oven to ‘broil’ and place the marinated strips on a baking sheet. Place the sheet in the oven and let the steak cook for 8 minutes on both sides
  5. Rinse 3-4 cups of rice and then add to a medium pot. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the package instructions to the pot. Salt the water and cook according to the package instructions.
  6. Combine 5 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp white sugar, 1/4 cup chopped green onion, 2 tbsp minced garlic, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper, and 1/2 tbsp Salt in a large saucepan. Add the broccoli and cover with a lid, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is cooked and lightly browned.
  7. Combine the Steak, rice, and broccoli and serve.
