  1. Prepare 100 gm rava (light roasted)
  2. Get 30 ml boiled water
  3. Take to taste Salt
  4. Take 3 tablespoons Ghee
  5. Prepare 5-6 Green kadhipatas /curry leaves
  6. Make ready 3-4 Green Chillies chopped
  7. Prepare 2 Onions chopped
  8. Make ready 1 tablespoon rai(mustard seeds)
  9. Make ready 1 tablespoon jeera/cumin seeds
  10. Take 2 tsp Green coriander for Garnishing

How to make rava upma step by step method: Heat a kadai/pan and dry roast rava in medium flame until a roasted smell of rava wafts. Don't let it change colour, so keep the flame to medium always and keep roasting. The rava will become non sticky and free flowing if roasted correctly. Instructions to make White rava upma:
  1. Take ghee in kadhai then put raee,jeera,green chillies, kadhipatas,chopped onions and let then cooked for 5-10 minutes once get done add rava,
  2. Salt and mix it well.
  3. Finally add boiling water and cover it for 6 minutes more
  4. Serve hot with green coriander garnished.
