The ingredients needed to make Diwali Special Rava Ladoo:
  1. Make ready 2 cups Fine Rava/semolina
  2. Prepare 10-12 Cashews
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp Charoli
  4. Get 10-12 Raisins
  5. Get 50 gms Khoya/mawa
  6. Prepare 2 cups Sugar
  7. Make ready 1/2 cup Ghee
  8. Prepare Pinch salt
  9. Get 1 cup Water

As far as I can remember we have always made laddus for every deepavali. Growing up, I have watched dad make boondi laddus effortlessly year after year. While making boondi is so time consuming, it is equally laborious making perfect. Rava Ladoo comes to my mind first when an easy sweet need to be made.

Steps to make Diwali Special Rava Ladoo:
  1. In a thick vessel, Roast the Rava for 6-7 minutes. Add ghee occasionally.
  2. Add grated coconut and mix well. Remove the rava from heat after it changes color.
  3. In a separate pan, add 2 tbsp ghee. Add cashew, charoli and raisins and fry for 2 mins. Remove from the pan once done.
  4. In a vessel, make 2 taari pak (2 string) by adding 2 cup sugar and 1 cup water.
  5. Once the sugar pak is ready, add the rava coconut mixture to this and mix well. And 2 tsp cardamom powder. Also add the drufruits and mix well.
  6. Add the 50g khoya/mawa and mix well. Cook for 5-6 mins.
  7. Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool for 15 mins.
  8. Once cooled, make round shaped balls of the mixture and set aside to harden. The Ladoos are ready!
  9. You can make around 15 Ladoos with this! Enjoy!
