Rava laddu is a South Indian Sweet made with semolina, sugar, ghee, cashews and raisins. Rava is the Indian term for semolina & laddu are sweet balls. Rava ladoo is a popular Indian sweet made during festivals. You can even call rava ladoo as sweet semolina balls.

The ingredients needed to make Rava laddu:
  1. Make ready 1 cup rava/semolina(250grms)
  2. Get 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  3. Get 3 tbsp warm milk
  4. Take 7-8 cashewnuts
  5. Prepare 1 tsp cardamom powder
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp raisins
  7. Prepare 4-5 pistas
  8. Make ready 2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter
  9. Take 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut

When I was a kid and when all cousins got together in my aunts house, the fun was unlimited. Rava laddu (ladoo) are the perfect treat for any occasion! This is the easier version made with condensed milk. I have mentioned all the tips and tricks to make it soft and perfect every time.

Instructions to make Rava laddu:
  1. Heat up a sauce pan add 2tbsp ghee, roast cashew nuts and raisins, when raisins puffs up and cashew nuts become golden in colour take it out, keep ready rava, coconut to roast and grind sugar to powder
  2. Now add rava to the same pan in remaining ghee roast on low to medium flame about 5-6 minutes stir continuously until it changes its colour a bit and you get good aroma
  3. Now add grated coconut to this and roast for another 2-3 minutes
  4. Turn off the flame, take that out and let it cool down a bit, add powdered sugar to it, give it a good mix add cardamom powder, roasted nuts and raisins
  5. Add 2tbsp of warm milk mix it well, mixture gets little sticky, you can prepare perfect laddu without any hassles, garnish according to your taste and serve delicious rava laddu

This is the easier version made with condensed milk. I have mentioned all the tips and tricks to make it soft and perfect every time. The recipe includes step by step photos.
