The ingredients needed to make Rava Khichadi:
  1. Prepare 1 cup Roasted Sooji/ Rava
  2. Take 3 cups Water
  3. Get 3 tsp Oil or Ghee
  4. Take 5 Cashews broken
  5. Take 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  6. Make ready 1/4 tsp Bengal Gram Dal
  7. Get 1/4 tsp Urad Dal
  8. Take 1 Medium Size Onion sliced
  9. Make ready 1 string Curry leaves
  10. Get 4 Green chillies slit
  11. Get 1/2 inch Ginger finely chopped
  12. Prepare 1 Tomato finely chopped
  13. Get 1/2 cup boiled mixed vegetables(carrot,beans and peas)
  14. Make ready 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  15. Get To taste Salt
  16. Make ready 2 tsp Coriander leaves

Instructions to make Rava Khichadi:
  1. In a kadai, add oil or ghee. Keep the flame in medium and add cashews. Fry till it turns light brown colour.
  2. Add mustard seeds, bengal gram dal and urad dal. Fry it.
  3. Add onions, curry leaves, green chillies and ginger. Saute till onions becomes translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder and little salt. Saute till it becomes mushy.
  5. Add the boiled vegetables and saute for 2 mins in medium flame.
  6. Add water, salt and coriander leaves. Once water starts boiling, keep the flame low and add rava. Mix well. Cover with a lid.
  7. Open the lid after 2 mins. Rava will be cooked. If needed add extra ghee and mix well.
  8. Transfer to a bowl. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
