The ingredients needed to make Rava appam:
  1. Make ready 1 cup rava
  2. Take 1/2 cup curd
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup water
  4. Get to taste Salt
  5. Make ready 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  6. Take 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  8. Get 1 Onion
  9. Prepare 1 Tomato
  10. Take 1 Capsicum
  11. Prepare 1/2 cup Sweet corn

Very less oil is used to prepare these appams and one can make the too quickly. Instant Rava Appam is quick and easy to prepare breakfast and snack. This has lots of veggies along with the goodness of suji/semolina. You can serve it as an evening tea time snack or a tiffin snack for kids or even breakfast for your family.

Instructions to make Rava appam:
  1. Take 1 cup rava. Add curd and water. Whisk it nicely and rest it for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. After that add more water only if the batter is thick. Now add finely chopped onion tomato capsicum sweet corns or other veggies which you like to add. And add salt, black pepper, turmeric powder or baking soda.
  3. Heat a appam pan. Apply oil and fill it with batter and cook it by covering it's lid. After 10 minutes. Turn all the appam balls and cook it on another side. On low flame.

This has lots of veggies along with the goodness of suji/semolina. You can serve it as an evening tea time snack or a tiffin snack for kids or even breakfast for your family. Rava Appam is a sweet which can be made instantly. We usually make this for the Karthigai Deepam. Unlike the conventional appam, Rava appam doesn't require soaking and grinding process.
