The ingredients needed to make Rava/Sooji Uttapam:
  1. Make ready 1 cup Sooji
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup Curd
  3. Take as per taste Salt
  4. Prepare Pinch or 1/8 tsp Baking soda
  5. Make ready 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  6. Get As required Potatoes stuffing

This is my favorite breakfast recipe that can be had as a quick evening snack also. Adding veggies makes it more colorful so that kids can enjoy it and at the same time makes it healthy. I usually made onion uttapam, onion tomato uttapam by dosa batter but this is really yummy to eat and anyone can made this at home without using dosa batter. This is one of the South Indian dishes which you can have for both in breakfast and snacks as well.

Steps to make Rava/Sooji Uttapam:
  1. Take sooji in a bowl.
  2. Add curd in it,also add salt as per taste,red chilli powder and mix it well.Add little water as per requirement and keep it covered for resting for 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 min,the batter becomes thick, add little water more to make pouring consistency. Now add baking soda in it and mix it well. Batter is ready.
  4. Now take non-stick pan,at low flame apply oil with brush.Pour batter and spread the batter with ladle.On batter,spread potatoes mixture on it.Sprinkle some oil in it.Cover the pan with lid.Then after sometime flip it,so that it is cooked from other side also.
  5. Again flip it and serve it with tomato ketchup.

I usually made onion uttapam, onion tomato uttapam by dosa batter but this is really yummy to eat and anyone can made this at home without using dosa batter.
