The ingredients needed to make Rava uttapam:
  1. Get 1 cup rava
  2. Get 1/2 cup curd
  3. Get 1/2 tbsp baking soda
  4. Make ready as required water to mix
  5. Prepare 1 onion finely chopped
  6. Make ready 1 tomato finely chopped
  7. Make ready 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  8. Take 1 beetroot , grated
  9. Prepare 1 carrot grated
  10. Prepare handful coriander leaves, finely chopped
  11. Take 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
  12. Prepare as per taste salt

Steps to make Rava uttapam:
  1. In a large bowl add 1 cup of rava.Add curd and mix well. - Now add 1/2 cup of water and make a thick batter. add some more water if required. Add salt and mix it well.
  2. Now add 1/2 tbsp of baking soda. keep it aside for 20 minutes.In a bowl add finely chopped onions, carrots, tomatoes, beetroot, green chilli, coriander leaves and red chili powder add salt as per taste. After adding salt, mix it properly with a big spoon start preparing uttapam immediately.
  3. In a dosa pan pour a ladleful of uttapam batter and spread in a circular motion. Maintain the thickness of uttapam and it should not be like a thin dosa. - Now spread the toppings on top of the uttapam evenly. After the topping has been added press gently so the toppings are pressed into the batter. Add 1 tbsp of butter around the uttapam. - Cover it and let it cook for 1-2 minutes in low flame.
  4. Flip over on the other side once the uttapam turns golden brown. Cook it for 1-2 minutes in a low flame. Serve with sauce and chutney.
