The ingredients needed to make Steamed Rava(Suji) Idli(instant):
  1. Get 2 cup rava
  2. Get 2tbps curd
  3. Make ready 1tbps salt
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup water
  5. Prepare 2tbps oil for greasing idli mould

Since it doesn't require any fermenting, it can be prepared in a jiffy. I have prepared this idli today with the basic tadka or tempering. Rava idlis are soft and fluffy steamed suji (rava) or semolina cakes made with yogurt, some spices and baking soda or some people use Eno fruit salt. It is a variation of the famous South Indian breakfast dish, idli (steamed rice-lentil cakes).

Steps to make Steamed Rava(Suji) Idli(instant):
  1. In bowl add 2 cup Rava and add salt and 2 tbps curd with little with amount of water. Mix the mixture well and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Now take idli mould, grease with oil and put idli batter made from Rava in it
  3. Now in pressure cooker add one cup water and pre heat for 30 seconds and now put idli mould in it and close the lid by removing whistle of cooker. Leave it for 15 minutes and check.
  4. If you prick a toothpick and nothing sticks to it means your idli is ready to serve
  5. Now serve the idli with sambhar, coconut chutney.
