Hey everyone, it is Brad, welcome to my recipe site. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, tawa paneer. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I will make it a little bit tasty. This will be really delicious.

The ingredients needed to make Tawa Paneer:
  1. Get 200 - 250 gms Paneer
  2. Get 1 Onion finely chopped ,
  3. Make ready 1 / bell pepper Capsicumgreen
  4. Prepare 3 Tomatoes chopped
  5. Get 4 - 5 Garlic
  6. Get 1 Ginger
  7. Prepare 1 Green chili chopped
  8. Make ready ½ tsp seeds Ajwain Carom /
  9. Get 1 tsp Coriander powder
  10. Take ¼ tsp red chilli Kashmiri powder
  11. Take ¼ tsp Turmeric haldi powder /
  12. Prepare 1 tsp Pav masala bhaji
  13. Prepare OR
  14. Get ½ tsps ¼ tsps Garam masala mango powder amchur + dry / powder
  15. Get 2 tbsps Butter
  16. Take ½ tsp Kasuri methi Fenugreek Crushed   / dry   leaves
  17. Take as required Salt
  18. Prepare coriander / Few chopped leavesdhania patta for garnish

In the name Tawa Paneer, the term, Tawa, is used for a flat skillet and paneer in Indian cuisine refers to Indian Cottage Cheese. As the name says paneer tawa masala, it is made on tawa or tava only. I was not sure how to explain so I looked into wiki. Tawa is a large, flat or concave or convex disc-shaped frying pan.

Instructions to make Tawa Paneer:
  1. Evenly chop the paneer into fine cubes and soak them in salt water.
  2. Finely Chop onions, capsicum and green chillies.
  3. Roughly chop the tomatoes.
  4. Grind the ginger & garlic into a paste
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes (3 medium tomatoes) in a blender and make a smooth puree & keep aside.
  6. Melt the butter in a skillet & add Carom seeds/Ajwain and fry them for a few seconds or till aromatic.
  7. Add chopped onion & saute until translucent.  Then add the ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chili, finely chopped capsicum/green bell pepper and saute for about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and pav bhaji masala. If you don’t have pav bhaji masala, then add garam masala + amchur powder/dry mango powder. stir and saute for about a minute.
  9. Add tomato puree and stir. Season it with salt keep stirring it at intervals. Saute it till you see butter releasing from the sides and the masala has thickened on low flame for approximately 10 minutes. If the tomato masala looks dry, then add 1 or 2 tbsp of water and continue to saute.
  10. Add the paneer cubes and stir well, so that the masala coats the paneer cubes evenly. Cook the paneer for 1 to 2 minutes. then add ½ tsp crushed kasuri methi/dry fenugreek leaves. Stir very well and switch off the flame.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve tawa paneer masala with chapatis, phulkas, naan or bread.

Add paneer back to the gravy and turn on the stove.
