The ingredients needed to make Chewy Curried Tofu:
  1. Get 300 gr tofu block
  2. Make ready 10 tbsp katakuriko
  3. Get 1 tsp baking powder
  4. Get 1 egg
  5. Take 1/2 tsp salt
  6. Make ready 2 tsp powdered chicken broth
  7. Make ready 1 tsp curry powder (use your favorite)
  8. Prepare 1 tsp garlic paste
  9. Get 2 cups Oil for frying (I used about 2 cups)

Kids love this snack and they requested me to put it in our family's recipe book. Place tofu pieces in a single layer in the baking dish and turn to coat with the marinade. Steps to make Chewy Curried Tofu:
  1. Combine all ingredients except oil. Mix well. Knead with your hands if necessary.
  2. If the mixture is too watery, add more katakuriko. If too dense, add a bit of water. Form balls with your hands.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, lower the heat and add the tofu balls. Flip them when the bottom is golden brown. When all surface is golden brown, they are ready!
