The ingredients needed to make Beef Stroganoff:
  1. Prepare 500-600 g Beef Steaks *thinly sliced into strips
  2. Prepare 1 Large Onion *sliced
  3. Make ready 8 Mushroom (about 300g) *sliced
  4. Make ready 1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
  5. Take 1 tablespoon Canola Oil
  6. Take 1 tablespoon Butter
  7. Make ready 2 tablespoons Plain Flour
  8. Make ready 1-2 teaspoons Ground Paprika
  9. Prepare 1 cup Beef Stock (OR Water 1 cup and Beef Stock Cube 1)
  10. Get 100-125 ml Sour Cream
  11. Take Salt & Cracked Pepper
  12. Make ready Freshly cooked Rice, Pasta or Mashed Potato to serve

Instructions to make Beef Stroganoff:
  1. Heat Canola Oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat, cook Beef strips until browned. Transfer cooked Beef to a bowl or plate so that you can cook vegetables separately next.
  2. Add Butter to the pan. Cook Onion and Garlic until softened. Add mushrooms and cook for a few minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Return the Beef to the pan. Add Flour and Paprika and cook for a minute. Then add Beef Stock (or Water and Beef Stock Cube).
  4. Bring it to the boil. Check the flavour and add Salt if needed. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the sauce is slightly thickened. Stir in sour cream and it’s done.
  5. Serve with freshly cooked rice, pasta or mashed potato and a plenty of Cracked Pepper.
