  3. Get 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  4. Make ready 1 teaspoon turmeric powder-
  5. Prepare 8 Dried red chillies (broken)
  6. Make ready 3/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  7. Prepare 3 teaspoon Coriander seeds
  8. Make ready 7-8 Black peppercorns
  9. Prepare 2 Black cardamoms
  10. Make ready 3-4 Green cardamoms
  11. Get 5-6 Cloves
  12. Get 1 " Cinnamon stick
  13. Get 1 Bay leaf
  14. Get 3 tablespoon Scrapped coconut
  15. Prepare 5-6 Green chillis
  16. Get 1.5 tablespoon Ginger pieces(1/2")
  17. Prepare 4 tablespoon Oil

Instructions to make Malvani chicken masala:
  1. Wash the chicken pieces properly and pat dry.
  2. Now,apply salt,turmeric powder and ginger- garlic paste on the chicken.Fold them.Keep aside for 1hour.
  3. Meanwhile Dry roast cumin seeds,black peppercorns,red chillies and coriander seeds till fragrant.Cool and grind to a powder.
  4. Chop the onions finely.
  5. Put ginger pieces,scrapped coconut and green chillis in a mixer jar.Grind them into a fine paste with a little water.
  6. Now,heat oil in a pan.Temper it with both black and green cardamoms,cloves,cinnamon and bay leaf.Wait till the fragrance comes out
  7. Add finely chopped onions.Sauté till onion is golden.
  8. Now,add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix well.
  9. Add the masala powder and cook for 3-4minutes.
  10. Now,add masala paste and mix again.
  11. Add 1/2cup of water and mix.
  12. Cover and cook till the chicken is soft.
  13. Uncover the pan,adjust salt & sugar as per taste.
  14. Add garammasala powder.Mix well and cook for 1minute.
  15. Dish out and serve hot with steamed rice/paratha/chapati.
