  1. Prepare Main dish
  2. Get 5 Chicken breasts
  3. Make ready 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
  4. Get 1/2 Onion, sliced thinly

Steps to make Basil chicken:
  1. Coat baking pan or casserole dish with oil
  2. Spread sliced onions in pan
  3. Cut chicken breasts to butterfly them. Hint, if they are partially frozen it makes it easier.
  4. Spread ½ teaspoon of Basil spread on one half of each chicken
  5. Close the chicken halves together and arrange in the pan, over the onions
  6. Spread minced garlic over chicken
  7. Pour sauce to coat all the chicken pieces
  8. Bake for 40 minutes in 375°F oven
  9. When baking is complete, sprinkle shredded cheese over the pieces and serve with pasta
