  1. Get all purpose flour
  2. Get clarified butter
  3. Get khoya/mawa
  4. Take sugar
  5. Get Cardamom powder
  6. Take saffron
  7. Make ready whole Cardamoms
  8. Get chopped dry fruits

Steps to make Mawa Suryakala:
  1. First mix the clarified butter with the flour. Then add cold water little by little & make a tight dough. Cover it up & keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Now make the mawa stuffing by mixing chopped dry fruits & Cardamom powder with mawa. Keep it aside
  3. After 20 minutes take a tennis ball size portion from the flour dough & roll it down. Now take two round cookies cutters with different dimensions. One should be slightly bigger than the other one. Then cut two different sized discs.
  4. Now take the bigger disc & place 1 teaspoon mawa mix over it then cover it up with the smaller disc. Then seal the edges by folding them evenly.
  5. Now deep fry them in hot oil/ ghee on a medium low flame.
  6. Make some sugar syrup in between by adding Cardamom & saffron to it.
  7. Now place the fried suryakala into the syrup & keep it for an hour. Then decorate & serve.
