Ingredients for Coconut and Saffron Halwa: Semolina - I used fine white semolina. You can also use coarse semolina/rawa/suji. In a saucepan add sugar and water, bring it to boil on medium heat. Suji Ka Halwa (Sheera) is a simple Indian semolina pudding, made with semolina, sugar & ghee.

  1. Make ready 1 cup fine semolina 1/2 cup coconut powder 1 cup sugar 130 gram salted butter 300 ml milk Saffron 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder Pistachios Sugar pearls or any fondant decoration

In a pan melt the butter and add semolina - Roast until golden brown - Add coconut powder and roast for one minute - Add milk and stir until all milk is absorbed - Add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved and the butter leaves side - Halwa is ready. Transfer in a serving dish and decorate. - I have decorated with knife and garnished with pistachios. Please use your imagination and garnish with any fruits, fondant dry fruits etc.
