Instructions to make Japanese-Style Roast Chicken With Chicken Wings:
  1. Season the chicken wings evenly with salt and pepper in a shallow container.
  2. Mix the marinade ingredients marked ☆ together - soy sauce, sake, ginger juice, sliced ginger, grated garlic and olive oil.
  3. Add the marinade to the chicken and spread evenly.
  4. Cove the chicken container tightly with plastic wrap and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Turn the chicken over after 30 minutes.
  5. Line a grill or oven with 2 sheets of aluminum foil stacked together. Put the chicken wings on top in one layer and cook for 10 minutes at medium heat. Save the marinade since you'll be using it later.
  6. Take the chicken wings out and dip them rapidly in the marinade again. Return to the grill.
  7. Grill for a further 8 minutes at medium heat. Cooking times vary according the the grill so please adjust it while watching how the chicken wings brown!
